Creating your Resource AI foundry

Step 1

When on the azure services dashboard, click on the Azure AI Foundry Icon.

If this is your first time on foundry, click on the create resource button below under the overview tab

Step 2

To start, we’ll create a resource.

When creating a new resource, you need to select the Subscription, Resources group, Name, Region. You will also need to create a project name. For this tutorial, we will use the US East region.

For this task, you won’t need to worry about the 5 other settings. If you plan to deploy these resources to more people within or outside of your organisation or hope to keep your AI interactions confidential with specific people, then these will become more important.

Step 3

Once you have completed this, click create, you should arrive at the page below.

You may have to wait a few mins for it to deploy.

Step 4

Once you see this page, click go to resource.

The page Infront of you is your foundry resource portal. This allows you to manage the access, errors and activity, security and resource management for the entire resource, which can encompass multiple AI models. In order to create our AI models with in resource, we need to access the ‘Azure AI Foundry Portal’. You can do this by clicking the blue button or the link in the top left.
